1. General Provisions

  1. These Terms of Service set out the rules for using Lights & Colors, available at
    https://www.lightsandcolors.art (hereinafter: “Service”).
  2. By using the Service, the User accepts these Terms.

2. User Account

  1. Account registration may be carried out:
    • locally (email + password, stored as Argon2 hash),
    • via external login (Google OAuth 2.0 – within the scope of email and profile).
  2. The User is obliged to provide true information and to protect their password.

3. Rules of Use

  1. The Service is based on the principle of freedom of expression, which ends where the rights and freedoms of others are violated.
  2. The following are strictly prohibited:
    • content of a racist, xenophobic, or hateful nature,
    • content violating the law (e.g. criminal threats, child exploitation, incitement to violence),
    • spam, unauthorized advertising, and activities harmful to the infrastructure.
  3. Moderators have the right to remove content or block accounts in the event of violations.

4. Intellectual Property

  1. Copyright to content published by Users remains with their authors.
  2. By publishing content in the Service, the User grants the Administrator a non-exclusive license to store, display, and moderate such content.

5. Liability

  1. The Administrator is not responsible for content published by Users.
  2. The Administrator will exercise due diligence to ensure the security and availability of the Service.

6. Governing Law

  1. These Terms are governed by the law of the Swiss Confederation.
  2. The Service respects the principles arising from Articles 16 and 17 of the Federal Constitution of Switzerland (BV), which guarantee freedom of expression, information, and media.
  3. Freedom of speech within the Service is protected, but – in accordance with generally accepted principles – does not extend to content that may infringe the rights of others, in particular discriminatory or violence-inciting content.
  4. Users of the Service should ensure that their actions comply both with these Terms and with the laws applicable in their country.

7. Changes to the Terms

  1. The Administrator may amend these Terms if required by law or the operation of the Service.
  2. Users will be informed of significant changes within the Service.
  3. The current version of the Terms is always available at this address.
